Semester's done, and I've been working. Part time at the local ISP, but enough to keep me occupied. That is, when I'm not totally succumbing to my addiction to FlyFF.

Slacking aside, I'm closer than ever to actually finishing a project I've liked since inception (Well, I guess slacking isn't aside yet, since inception was over six months ago). I have to slap it on the Wacom and clean it up a bit - perspective distortions and whatnot - then go to town with line work. I've decided I'll make it an achromatic piece, with the only color coming from the underlying shirt color. I'll post a threadless link when It's uploaded, which may be a while.

Most of the people I work with have no idea about design and all that, so they just roll over, which is fine with me, except I don't get any better that way. Can't wait to get more critique. It might be a while , though. Going to Japan this fall.

I figure, fuck it, I'll just take the leftover federal loan money from semesters past along with whatever comes this year, and go now, because it's not going to get any easier if I wait. I'll have to eat carefully, but I figure I should be fine. If I can work long-distance for the current employer, then I should be able to keep a little pocket change coming in. From what I can gather, things shouldn't be all that demanding, and once I order my laptop, I'll have all the tools I need to do my job. That's the awesome part of knowing enough code to use notepad as your main development environment - any computer with at least Windows installed is good to go. I might be graphically hampered, though. I haven't decided yet as to whether or not I'm taking my Wacom tablet with me. Any rational arguments you could give me in either direction would be appreciated - I'm stuck on this one.

I guess I'd better get to sleep. Work at 9 tomorrow morning, and I take a while to get conscious enough to function.
